  • All window film installations are completed to industry best practices. However, due to the nature of film application, minor imperfections may be unavoidable and are considered acceptable within defined limits.
  • When assessing the quality of an installation, customers must view the glass from a distance of at least one (1) metre away, and do so while looking through the glass, not directly at the surface of the film.
  • Minor particles, dust specs, dirt, hair, water pockets (during curing), or faint streaks that do not exceed 2%–5% of the total visible area of the window pane are considered within industry-accepted tolerances.
  • If the affected area exceeds 5% of the window surface, the customer may request an inspection. If confirmed by an Xpert Window Tinting Ltd representative, we will provide a repair or reinstallation free of charge.
  • All claims regarding imperfections must be submitted within 7 calendar days of installation and include clear photographs and a written description of the issue.
  • Final assessment and defect evaluation are at the sole discretion of Xpert Window Tinting Ltd and are based on professional industry standards.

  • A non-transferable limited warranty covers residential, commercial, and automotive window films.
  • The warranty period varies by product type, with some offering up to a lifetime warranty.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
  • The warranty covers issues like bubbling, peeling, and cracking due to installation defects.
  • Damage resulting from misuse, accidents, or non-compliance with care instructions is not covered.
  • Clients must ensure that all windows are clean and free from dust, debris, and existing films prior to installation.
  • All furniture, fittings, and personal items should be moved to allow clear access to windows. at least 1 meter away from windows and/or jobsite.
  • Any delays or additional visits due to inadequate site preparation may incur extra charges and call out fee. $150+gst
  • Rubber Trimming & Edge Gaps: To achieve a superior finish, rubber seals around window frames may be temporarily removed and/or reinstalled and/or trimmed out to get the best finish or to remove mold and dirty. A uniform gap of 1–5mm will be maintained around the edges to prevent peeling and allow for proper film adhesion.
  • Viewing Standards: Post-installation, the film should be inspected by looking through the glass, not directly at it, from a distance of 1 meter under natural daylight conditions.
  • Acceptable Imperfections: Minor particles, dust specs, or water pockets that do not exceed 2%–5% of the total visible area of the window pane are considered within industry-accepted tolerances.
  • Curing Period
  • Window films require a curing period of 7 to 30 days, depending on environmental factors such as weather conditions and sun exposure. During this time, it is normal to observe haze, small water bubbles, streaks, or a cloudy appearance — this is part of the natural drying process and will resolve as the film cures.
  • In some cases, particularly during cooler months (winter) or on windows with limited sun exposure, the curing process may extend to 3–6 months.
  • Windows that are shaded by trees, hedges, buildings, or curtains, or receive only 1–4 hours of direct sunlight per day, may take significantly longer to fully cure. We recommend opening windows periodically to improve airflow and help the film “breathe” and dry out more effectively.
  • If a warranty inspection or service is requested within the first 30 days after installation and the film is found to be curing within normal parameters, a call-out fee of $150+GST + materials will apply.
  • Cleaning Guidelines: Do not clean the film for at least 30 days post-installation. Use only ammonia-free cleaning solutions and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or chemicals.
  • Care Instructions: Avoid attaching any adhesives, suction cups, or stickers to the film surface, as this may void the warranty.
